Our very first white wine, produced from a tiny 2.4-hectare plot located along the edge of a forest.

IDENTITY

Intuition de Fleur Cardinale white is the first white wine produced by Ludovic Decoster and his team. The grapes for this cuvée are sourced from a tiny 2.4-hectare plot located along the edge of a 40-hectare forest.

This first wine offers a hint of the fabulous wine-growing potential provided by the coolest part of our vineyard, which is perfectly suited to the production of white wine.

Unlike the red wine of the same name, this new white wine cuvée is not a real “second wine” in the strict sense of the term. While it most certainly doesn’t lack charm, it doesn’t offer all the ageing potential expected of a white Grand Vin. Ludovic Decoster therefore wished to produce this first white wine under a secondary label: Intuition de Fleur Cardinale Blanc.

TASTING

A brilliant pale yellow colour with green glints.

A fresh nose offering a bouquet of acacia flowers together with white peaches and apricots, hints of jasmine, lemon zest and citron.

On the palate, a vibrant entry is followed by a sensation of volume and a certain smoothness.

The finish is fresh, mouth-watering and lingering. A pretty wine to be enjoyed in its first years.
