The second wine of Château Fleur Cardinale: because an Intuition is the beginning of a bigger project.

PROFILE

Each plot of the Château Fleur Cardinale vineyard is capable of producing great wine. It is therefore logical for us to produce Intuition de Fleur Cardinale with the same approach as for the First Wine, i.e. identical vine-growing methods, harvesting, vinification and ageing.

It is in fact only at the end of one year of ageing that we decide, according to the profile of the vintage, which batches will be better blended in the First Wine and which are more suitable for the Second Wine.

TASTING NOTES

Intuition of Fleur Cardinale shows an intense aromatic profile of ripe black fruits. The palate is both fresh and smooth, with silky tannins that give a lot of finesse.

A MEANINGFUL NAME

Historically, Intuition played an important part in bringing us to this estate. It was Florence who sensed 20 years ago that becoming wine-growers here would be the beginning of a wonderful family adventure.

Also, an Intuition suggests the beginnings of something greater. This name conveys beautifully the relationship between this Second Wine and our “Great Wine”, Château Fleur Cardinale.

FOCUS ON THE LABEL

From an esthetical point of view, the typography used for Intuition seeks to reflect what the spirit of the word conveys: something informal, something noted down in the corner of a sheet of paper.

We continued to develop this idea as far as possible, letting Caroline hand-write the word “Intuition” on the label.
