With Richie Beirach

We are very happy and honored to announce that next Monday, July 18, we will welcome the immense New York jazz pianist Richie Beirach to the Château Fleur Cardinale for a unique concert in France, as part of the Jazz And Wine Bordeaux Festival, which we are patrons. An exceptional musical event, since Richie Beirach will take the opportunity to record his concert at the Château.

About Richie Beirach

Bill Evans (on the left) & Richie Beirach (on the right) – 1977

New York pianist Richie Beirach is one of the greatest voices in contemporary jazz. He is the 4th ace of his generation – alongside Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. No more no less. With the great Bill Evans as mentor, Stan Getz as first employer, and Chet Baker as second boss, could it be otherwise? His reputation became so important in the Big Apple that he signed for the prestigious ECM label, at the same time as… Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea. From then on, his personal career took an international dimension. He co-founded with the saxophonist Dave Liebman the band “Quest”, which remains one of the flagship formations of the 90s. He joined the quartet of the guitarist John Abercrombie, still on the ECM label, reminiscent of the universe of Bill Evans. At the same time, he recorded many masterpieces in Japan, both on trio and solo – of which he is a specialist. Richie Beirach is a “Steinway Artist”.
