In 2024, Château Fleur Cardinale and Château Croix Cardinale were brought together under the name La Maison Cardinale
The second wine of Château Croix Cardinale: because a Revelation is a glimpse into new horizons.
PLOT
This is a cuvée that can be described as parcel-based, as it comes mainly from two 1.4 hectare plots of Merlot, located to the east of the Saint-Emilion appellation, on the northern slopes of the Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse limestone plateau. The blend is consolidated by the pressing of Cabernet on the limestone of Château Croix Cardinale, its elder brother on the south-facing slope.
TASTING
Révélation de Croix Cardinale is a fine introduction to the style of the estate’s wines. This second cuvée from Château Croix Cardinale reveals an aromatic profile that is as rich as the first.
FOCUS ON THE LABEL
The wine has an atypical and striking visual identity. The label was designed by Caroline Decoster, who signed the word REVELATION in her own handwriting. It features an aerial view of the area: the limestone plateau of Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse in black, its southern slope in red, and its northern slope in yellow, the main terroir in which the wine is produced.
